How we verify deals
A discount percentage compares two numbers. To tell whether the price actually fell, you need a dated record of the same listing. Here is what ours can show.

Not every retailer reaches the scoring stage. Where we cannot check a seller's reference prices against anything, or its catalogue reads as one standing sale rather than a changing one, we stop listing it. 11 retailers have been removed on that kind of judgement. Storefronts dropped for serving another country are not counted here, because shipping somewhere else says nothing about a shop.
Scoring helps select offers
We select offers using price arithmetic and AI-assisted scoring. Where a feed supplies both a reference price and a sale price, we can check whether its claimed discount adds up. AI commentary helps describe who an offer might suit. Neither a score nor a Gazoobie Pick badge proves that a price beats other shops, that a coupon works at checkout, or that every offer in our database has been reviewed.
Read the evidence behind a verdict
Our guides explain what to compare before buying. A useful verdict identifies a product, the dates checked and the source of the prices. The worked example below exposes every observation used in its conclusion. It is a finding about one listing during one period, not a judgment about everything a retailer sells.
Our own price history
Our daily snapshot process began on August 7, 2026. It saves prices for tracked offers that supply them; coupons without a product price are outside that record. A snapshot captures our stored affiliate-feed data, which can be delayed or unchanged since an earlier sync. It is not a daily visit to the retailer or a checkout test. We show the observation dates and do not use a short record to claim a lowest-ever price.

Compare three different price patterns
The examples were prepared on September 11, 2026. Each uses 36 saved daily observations. They remain dated examples as the live listings change.
- Best Buy: a dash cam price rose above an earlier observation.
- Macy's: the same pillow two-pack appeared at three different prices.
- Walmart: a toothbrush price stayed unchanged throughout the record.

Our honesty standard
A few lines we hold, so you can trust the verdict on any page:
- We do not call a retailer's sale "fake" or "a scam." We show what the available evidence supports and what it cannot establish.
- We never take a payment to move a store up, soften a verdict, or bury a warning. Rankings and reads are editorial.
- We never claim a price is the lowest ever unless our own data backs it. No history, no claim.
