Target Holiday Price Match: Early Black Friday

Buy in Target's early Black Friday sale and you can still ask for a lower Target price until Dec. 24. What counts and how to ask.

If Target lowers its own price after you buy, you can usually ask for the difference. Starting Nov. 1, 2026, if you buy an item at Target in store or online and Target's price goes lower on or before Dec. 24, 2026, you can request a price match. Target's early Black Friday deals run Nov. 5 to 7, and Target has a new Deal of the Day every day through Dec. 24, plus new limited-time offers every weekend. The lower price must be at Target.com, in a Target store, or a Target Circle deal, on the identical item. Clearance, open-package and refurbished items are left out. How long do I have to ask for a Target price adjustment?
At the time of purchase or within 14 days after, for items bought before Nov. 1, 2026, or after Dec. 24, 2026. For purchases from Nov. 1, the lower Target price must show up on or before Dec. 24, 2026. Keep the original receipt or packing slip, because Target requires one for a price adjustment after purchase.
Does Target price match Amazon?
No. Target's guarantee says the lower price must be found at Target.com or in a local Target store, so an Amazon price does not qualify.
Can I use a Target Circle Bonus with a price match?
No. Target Circle Bonuses, gift card offers, registry completion coupons and Target coupons cannot be combined with a price match. Manufacturer coupons are applied after a price match, for in-store purchases only.
Will Target match another Target store's price?
No. In-store price matches from other Target stores are excluded. If you use the Target app as proof, it must show the price for your current store.

What to do

If something on your list is in the Nov. 5 to 7 sale at a price you are happy with, buy it then. Keep the receipt, and check the Target price again before Dec. 24.
